I love the trees that grow outwards
instead of tall
That don’t bother to compete with the crowd
at all
That don’t care about reachin
any other tree’s height
Just keep movin forward into
their own idea of light
Makin a different way out
into the sun
They ain’t tryin to impress
any-damn-one
Unfazed by the judgment from
all the other trees
Just happy out there swayin
to their own cool breeze
Ain’t tryin to fit into
a broken eco system
Ain’t care if any other
tree’s comin with them
They are sideways, crooked, and unique
Bent outta shape, quirky, extra, freaks
Living life on their own terms
That’s the vibe…
This is not about trees.
It’s about the tribe
