One of the great things about this teacher training, actually SIX of the great things, are the yogis that are in the training with me. They are a diverse group of women, that I may never have had the chance to meet if it were not for this training. They are women I may not have even given a chance, had we not been thrown into this “yoga boot camp” situation together. Each one of them has influenced me and helped me to grow in some way.
One of the other teacher trainees was getting ready to teach her first Community Yoga Class. I had already taught my first class. She was nervous and anxious, and I thought back to how I had felt just a few weeks before. The energy inside of me was awesome, amazing, and powerful. I told her to enjoy the awesome energy that she was feeling, because it would be over before she knew it, and it would never feel exactly this way again.
She responded to me “My awesome energy is endless!”.
Those words inspired me to write. She continues to inspire me.
My awesome energy is endless.
There is a light in me,
unending fountain flowing.
My breath has set it free.
And though i may sound manic
it’s all under control.
The power and the prana
are moving through my soul.
Powerful and positive,
the mind stuff is all good,
allowing me to do things
i never thought I could.
i can invert my body.
I can levitate and fly.
And all the while discerning
between the i and I.
i have found my path now
and i am well on my way.
If we meet along the road
I honor you, Namaste.
My awesome energy is endless.
There is a light in me.
unending fountain flowing.
My breath has set it free.
