Take me to the trail, where I can lose my Self.
Take me to the shelter where I can rest my weary bones.
Take me to the woods where I can lay down my troubles.
Take me to the water where I can soothe my soul.
Take me back to nature. Back to my true nature.
Out of head and body, back where I belong.
Take me back to nature, back to my true nature.
Out of head and body, where the heartache is so small.
Take me to the trail, where I can empty my mind.
Take me to the shelter where I can sit and rest a spell.
Take me to the woods where I can get lost in the wonder.
Take me to the water where I can soothe my aching soul.
Take me back to nature. Back to my true nature.
Out of head and body, back where I came from.
Take me back to nature, back to my true nature.
Where the universe is endless and my heartache is so small.
Take me to the trails, to the shelter, woods, and water.
Take me back to nature.
To restore and soothe my soul.

We go with Older Child on our hikes usually. Spouse sometimes. Do you go with someone or alone?
Today I went with my husband. He’s a good hiking partner because he honors my need for silence when I need it.
Yay
And when the tempest is raging
I want you to know ya got a friend that’s true
Just like a shelter, in a time of storm
I’ll see you through, that’s what I’ll do
