Grab your phone. Set your timer for one minute.
Close your eyes and breathe through your nose.
Counting as you inhale; 1,2,3,4.
Counting to 4 as you exhale.
With the next breath, count to 5 as you inhale.
Count to 5 as you exhale.
With the next breath count to 6 as you exhale.
Count to 6 as you exhale.
Counting even longer with each breath, to 7, 8, 9…
until you feel the breath is as long and slow as it can be.
Stay with that number until the timer goes off.
