Stops and Starts

Stop sitting still
and start moving.

Stop waiting for something to happen to you.
Start making things happen for yourself.

Stop seeking out the news that incites you and infuriates you.
Start seeking out the news that inspires and amazes you.

Stop spending time with people that drain you and depress you.
Start spending time with people that enlighten and uplift you.

Stop reaching for the foods that comfort and appease you.
Start reaching for the foods that nourish and satisfy you.

Stop looking for the easy answer, the simplest solution.
Start looking for the most challenging, mind expanding way to go.

Stop reaching for the things that make you forget, make you feel numb.
Start reaching for the things that make you feel human, alive, energized.

Stop scrolling through screens and staring at pixels.
Start strolling the sidewalks and actively engaging.

Stop relying on the habits that quiet all the chaos.
Start working through the chatter actively, constructively.

Stop worrying about obstacles, hardship and failure.
Start learning from obstacles, hardship and failure.

Stop judging, stop deliberating, stop trying to fix.
Start loving, start accepting, start connecting, understanding.

Stop escaping, stop denying, stop trying to get away.
Start dealing, start working, start feeling, start growing.

Stop all the old thoughts, and all the old ways.
Start fresh, start new. Then start over again.

Stop skimming the surface.
Start digging. Dig deeper.

Stop moving. Stop moving
and start sitting still.
